He was predeceased by: his parents, Dave Layne and Elsie Layne; and his siblings, Kinzer Layne, Willie Layne, Doris Layne, Delmer Layne, Loretta Ward, Rosetta Wolford and Pearl Lester.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Dotson Layne of Matewan, WV; his children, Bernice Ann, Alwyn Blankenship of Dandridge, TN, Jonah Ray, Donna Fuller of Jefferson City, TN, Osie Renee, Jonathan Casey and Elsie Jean Layne of Jacksonville, FL.; his great grandchildren, Faith "Smiley" Stanley, Amelia and Eli Redden; his brothers, Tracy Layne of Galion, OH., Larry Dotson and Terry Dotson; and his nephews, Orville Wolford, Ronnie Lester and Bruce Ward.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 10:00 P. M. Wednesday at the funeral home with standard precautions being observed due to the Covid-19 crisis.
