He was predeceased by: his parents, James Richard "Jim" Lamar Sr. and Virginia "Cookie" Ellen LaMar (Goff) of Albright; his grandparents, Harry, Atha Goff, Hubert and Hazel LaMar; his brother Jimmy LaMar; his father-in-law Adrain King; his friends, Eugene and Thomas Mason; and also Donald Demastes.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Louise LaMar (King); his children, Peggy Sue Bell (Clarence), Amanda Dawn Slaubaugh (Jeremiah) and John "Scooter" LaMar Jr. (Megan); his siblings, Charles "Rick" LaMar of Masontown and Connie LaMar of Masontown; his grandchildren, Hannah Nicole Slaubaugh, J. J. Slaubaugh, J. D. LaMar and Elena LaMar; his nephew Jeremy LaMar (Sarah); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Jackson, Riley and Alexis; his mother-in-law Norma Jean Demastes; and his granddaughter Bella Bell. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID-19, safety precautions will be taken, the social distancing 6-foot rule will be honored and all guests, whose health allows, are to wear a mask.
