He was predeceased by: his parents, Percy Robert Martin and Violet Susan Martin (Friend); and his brothers, James, Percy, Thomas and Warren Martin.

He is survived by: his wife Betty Martin (Riley); his children, Donald Lee Martin of Landsdale, PA, Lisa Lynn McDaniel (Eric Scott McDaniel) of Lakeland, TN and Michele Dawn Cawthon (Jeffery Cawthon) of Reedsville, WV; his granddaughter Audrey Ana McDaniel of Lakeland, TN; and his brother Terry Martin of Kanes Creek.
