He was predeceased by: his wife Leona Thomas (Hillery); his parents, Hattie Bell and James Powell; his stepsons, Herbert Thomas and Michael Thomas; his siblings, Pauline, James, Marie, Maimmie, Donald, Sarah (Becky), Jimmy and Sue; and his grandson Jason Thomas.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Earl Kelly, Eugene Thomas, Ricky Thomas, Carolyn Ziegler, Brenda Thomas and Lisa Shaffer; and his sister Judy Maring.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Morgan Funeral Home (13411 Veterans Memorial Hwy, Reedsville, WV 26547-0269). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
