He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil "Preacher" Byus (Lena) and Lena McDaniel Byus; his son Terry Don Byus; his siblings, Alan Byus and Patty Thomas; and his stepgranddaughter Andrea Bailes.
He is survived by: his wife Debra Byus of Mason, WV; his children, Lori McClanahan (Jamie) of Point Pleasant and Eric Byus of Point Pleasant; his grandsons, Chauncey McClanahan of Point Pleasant and Elijah McClanahan (Lexi) of Louisville, KY; his stepdaughters, Deana Spaulding (Jason) of Point Pleasant, Heather Spurlock (Randy) of Point Pleasant and Leslie See (Richard) of Point Pleasant; his stepgrandchildren, Trenton Bailes, Jesse Bailes, Hannah Spurlock, Treyce Beckner, Autumn Pauley (Abram), Austin Spaulding, Hunter Bonecutter, Jamie Ray Bonecutter and Donavan Spaulding; and his siblings, Andy Byus (Gallipolis), Donna Kay of New Have and Wanetta Beck of Maryland. He is also survived by many extended family and friends.
