With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Yolanda Francisca Fernandez of Martinsburg, West Virginia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. As Yolanda departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Yolanda. Though Yolanda may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Francisco Pena and Emelia Freyre; her husband Abilio Fernandez; and her sisters, Ester, Aide, Gladys and Azucena.
She is survived by: her daughter Marilys Gilbert. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer's Association or Hospice of the Panhandle would be appreciated.
