He is survived by: his children, P. Frank Sowers (Carrie), Linda Brown (Marvin), Mary Ann Jacobs (Harry), Connie Frick and Debbie Boor (Dwayne); his niece Joann Sowers; his grandson Chris Brown; and his siblings, Anna Albright, Rosie Houser, Jean Kisner, Nora Porterfield, Patricia Bowling and C. Thomas Sowers (Becky). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren; ten great great grandchildren.
