Lottie Virginia (Togans) Dozier Obituary

Lottie Virginia Dozier, 89, of Heartland nursing home, Martinsburg, W.Va., and formerly of Charles Town, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 24, 2008, at the nursing home.

Born on October 28, 1918, in Amissville, Va., she was a daughter of the late Charles P. Togans Sr., and Lula Belle (Lee) Togans. In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Dozier Sr., on Aug. 13, 1993; one daughter, Evelyn J. Dozier; one son, Gregory C. Dozier; one grandson, Jeffry Dozier; one sister, Mary Hughes, and three brothers, George Lee, Charles Togans Jr., and James Togans.

Mrs. Dozier was a member of the Wainwright Baptist Church in Charles Town. Mrs. Dozier was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star and Elks Lodge of Charles Town. She retired from H & L Hartz & Company. Lottie was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Surviving are three daughters, Helen L. Lewis and Doris V. Dozier, both of Martinsburg, and Thelma L. Blue, of Lanham, Md.; four sons, George W. Dozier Jr., of Denver, Colorado; Charles W. Dozier Sr., and Douglas W. Dozier, both of Charles Town, and Kevin M. Dozier, of Fairmont; 15 grandchildren, Karla Dozier, Charlene Lewis, Monica Lewis, Karen Battle, Tracy Blue, Donna Parker, Ian Dozier, Evan Dozier, Chrischele Dozier, Charles Dozier, Lajuane Dozier, Charisa Dozier, Shawna Redman, Kendall Dozier and Kenya Dozier; 19 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2008, at 11:00 AM at Wainwright Baptist Church with Rev. Walter Jackson officiating.

Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
