She was predeceased by: her parents, Viola Lee and James Nelson Whetzel; and her sister Sondra Gilkerson. She is survived by: her husband Charles Eddie Mills; her daughters, Linette O'Connell (Dan) and Sarah Upwright; her grandchildren, Staci (Eli), Ryan (Blake), James (Olivia), Samuel (Karen), Rachel, John and Michael; her great grandchildren, Ha'Leigh, Destiny, Zoey, Jordan, Lotus, Jaxon, Julia, Jasmine, Amelia, Daxton and Logan; and her brothers, Curtis Whetzel and David Whetzel. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Brown Funeral Home (327 W King St, Martinsburg, WV 25401).
