She was predeceased by: her parent Obadiah Wynter; her son Derrick Gillispie; and her sister Debbiann Wynter. She is survived by: her parent Sarah "Brown" Wynter; her husband Henry Samuel Gillispie; her children, Marcus Mendez, Louise Wilson and Lakiesha Gillispie; and her siblings, Dave "Masu" Wynter, Fitzroy "Monte" Wynter, Micheal "Charlie" Wynter, Leteza "Olive" Wynter, Jacqueline Fishley, Juliet Wynter Burrell and Charmaine Wynter.
