He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenville Tonkin VanMetre, Sr. and Emily Reedy Dern; his wife Gloria Jean VanMetre; and his brother-in-law Lester Swartz. He is survived by: his daughters, Sabrina VanMetre (Darrin Houser), Cheryl Stroop (Mark), Toni VanMetre and April Archambeau (Ryan); his sister Doris Swartz; his friends, Sandy Johnson and David Myers; and his close friend Buckshot. He is also survived by six grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
