Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Benjamin Eugene Merica (Martinsburg, West Virginia), born in Harrisonburg, Virginia, who passed away at the age of 68, on September 26, 2024. He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Franklin Merica and Martha Washington Merica Hensley (Yeager). He is survived by: his spouse Cayla; his daughters, Jenny (Matthew), Jennifer (Ashley) and Rebecca (Seth); his grandchildren, Kane, Leitrim, Hunter, Caroline and Wrenegade; and his sister Kathy Barkdoll. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Hedgesville High School Athletics in honor of Coach Merica.
