He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie W. Grove and Velet Strowbridge Grove; and his brothers, Donald L. Grove and Charles L. Grove. He is survived by: his wife Katherine Eaton Grove; his children, Vivian Hoffmaster (Dave), Charlotte Talbott (Ron) and Timothy Grove (Kathy); and his sister Frances Markle. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 11 great great grandchildren.
