He was predeceased by: his former wife Rosemary Beaver Gibson; his parents, Willie Wilbur and Mary Elizabeth King Gibson; and his sisters, Vickie Atkins, Brenda Gibson, Aline Spencer and Connie Gibson.
He is survived by: his wife Tina Gibson of Loundendale; his children, Crystal Gibson (Steve) of Alum Creek, Mary Harper (Dale) of Alum Creek and Ronald "Vince" Gibson of Charleston; and his siblings, Jewell Gibson of South Charleston, Sonia Knight (Steve) of Marmet, Bill Gibson (Ramona) of Marmet and Marshall Gibson of South Charleston. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
