He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Russell and Betty Jane Slack Hammack; and his wife Beverly Jayne Weaver Hammack. He is survived by: his son Sidney L. Hammack of Charleston; his siblings, Russell Hammack of East Bank, Eddie McCoy of Satsuma, FL and Sherry Crouch of Wealthy Acres; his close friend Cecil Roberts of Stafford, VA.; and also Carolyn Weaver of Kanawha City.
