With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Michael Shafer of Marmet, West Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 17, 2024 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Gail Jane Shafer; his parents, Quinton Emerson and Frankie Hughes Shafer; and his brothers, Jimmy and Andrew Phillip Shafer.
He is survived by: his children, Leslie Clendenin (Sonny), Dennis of Marmet, Jason of Marmet and Shane Shafer of Marmet; his siblings, Joe of Ohio, David Shafer of Ohio, Denise Riley of Charleston and Elizabeth Gill of Cross Lanes; and his grandchildren, Brianna Nicole Clendenin, James Michael and Shelby Ann Clendenin.
