He was predeceased by: his children, Tressie Duffer, Tammy Lanham and Charles "C. D." Bowyer; his parents, Gilbert Cooper and Maxine Marie Comuzie Cooper; and his brother Franklin Clemons.
He is survived by: his wife June Branham Cooper of Chelyan; his daughters, Tonya Kelley of Sissonville and Melissa Haynes (Mike) of Charleston; and his sister Marvella Kay Cooper of Charleston. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Leonard Johnson Funeral Home (8706 California Ave, Marmet, WV 25315). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
