He was predeceased by: his parents, William Cheetwood and Ada Oakes Searls; and his son Glenn Thomas. He is survived by: his children, Connie White (Mark) of Charleston, Brooks Searls (Wanda) of Greenville, SC and Andrew Searls (Angela Trusler) of Charleston; and his granddaughter Anne Winegardner (Seth) of Cincinnati, OH. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
