He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Ann Angel Elswick; his parents, Charles Howard and Dooley Claire Woodrum Elswick; and his brothers, Chester "Gene" and Carlos Elswick.
He is survived by: his sisters, Carol Sue Brammer of Seth and Barbara Lipford Harless of Hernshaw. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many wonderful neighbors.
