He was predeceased by: his parents, George Brown and Odessa Reed Brown; and his brother James German. He is survived by: his wife Magnolia Dawson Brown of Chesapeake; his children, Jason Brown of Columbus, OH and Tina Mann of Charleston; his stepson Randall Prieto Jr. of Chesapeake; and his siblings, Harriett Burnette (Neal) of Chesapeake, Willie Mae Dawkins of Charleston, Patricia Knox of Charleston, Helena Brown of Charleston, Evelene Leftwich (Sylvester) of Huntington and Arthur Washington of Charleston. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
