We are sad to announce that on March 27, 2022 we had to say goodbye to Gewndolyn Friel of Marlinton, West Virginia, born in Cass, West Virginia. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Blackhurst and Doris Robertson Blackhurst; her husband Coach Elmer Friel; and her sisters, Gertrude Woodell and Betty Lou Blackhurst.
She is survived by: her children, Elaine Friel (Deb Stark) of Manassas, VA and Rick Friel (Lori Articola Friel) of Knoxville, TN; her granddaughters, Julianna Friel of Knoxville, TN and Jessica Friel of Knoxville, TN; and her sisters, Barbara Shaw (Ernest Shaw) of Marlinton, WV and Rebecca Judy (Joe Judy) of Millcreek, WV. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Marlinton United Methodist Church.
