It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Everett Edward Carter (Marlinton, West Virginia), who passed away on October 12, 2023, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lenora Carter Smith of Davin, WV. and Shade Smith of Davin, WV.; his wife Judith V. Copeland Carter; and his son Paul Keith Lane. He is survived by: his children, Maria Lane of Marlinton One and William Lane of Jacksonville; his siblings, Anne McNeely (Chuck) of Willow Spring, NC, Tony Smith of Charlotte, NC, Randy Smith of Charlotte, NC, Rupert Smith of Kisler, WV and Charles Smith; his nephews, Christopher Smith (Emily) and Ben McNeely; his great-nephew Liam; and his great-niece Caroline of Willow Spring, NC.. He is also survived by Fourteen grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain View Assembly of God Church, 21742 Seneca Trail, Marlinton, WV 24954.
