It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vernon Mercer of Mannington, West Virginia, born in Fairview, West Virginia, who passed away on May 28, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Asa Mercer and Ruby L. Tennant Mercer; his wife Lillie Mercer; his daughter Linda Louise Mercer; his grandson Vernon Jones; and his siblings, Asa Junior Mercer, Joseph Mercer, Jean Jones and Virginia Lou Brewer.

He is survived by : his daughters, Liz Jones (Ronnie) of Fairmont, Sue Price of Wadestown, Lynne Sine of Morgantown and Deborah Price (Wesley) of Wana; and his brother Nolan Mercer (Sally) of Metz. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
