It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Rebecca Melkus of Mannington, West Virginia, born in Bristol, West Virginia, who passed away on December 7, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Millard VanScoy and Josephine VanScoy (Kelley); her husband James Melkus (Jim); her son William Melkus (Bill); and her grandson Alex Michael Melkus.
She is survived by: her son Michael Melkus (Terry); her grandchildren, Caleb Melkus of Charleston, SC, Matthew Melkus and Danielle Melkus; her great grandchildren, Levi of North Carolina, Matthew of North Carolina and Alaina of North Carolina; her sister Linda Powers (Mike) of Mannington, WV; her brother-in-law Konrad Melkus (JoAnn) of Bridgeport, WV.; and also Lori Truitt.
