She is survived by: her children, Connie Sayre (Larry) of Farmington, Linda Lowe of Farmington, John Slater (Debbie) of Farmington, Cindy Slater (Benny Campbell) of Mannington, Terry Simons (Lewis) of Mannington, Matt Slater (Tammy), Tim Slater (Patti), Dan Slater (Katie), Joetown, Toinetta Ledsome (Harry), Boothesville and Mark Slater (Alice); her adoptive son Jerry Garrett (Susan); and her brother Bishop Wilbur Shaffer, Sr. (Carolyn). She is also survived by 39 grandchildren; 64 great grandchildren; 15 great-great grandchildren.
