He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Masters and Mary Elizabeth Clark Masters; his former wife Jessie Linville Masters; his wife Eldora "Dorie" Linville Masters; his children, Harlan Ray Masters and Linda Masters; his son-in-law John Stull; and his siblings, Eunice Blankenship (Arnold), Margaret Bell Long (Arthur), Alice Hawkins (Ray), Lucinda Masters, Dan Masters (Sarah), Charles "Bud" Masters (Bonnie) and Dave Masters (Virginia).

He is survived by: his children, Stanley Masters (Ginger) of Fairmont, WV and Darla Stull of Dunbar, WV; and his granddaughter Stephanie Masters of Morgantown. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
