He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ray and Nellie Bice Stevens. He is survived by: his wife Betty Mae Wells Stevens; and his children, Donald Stevens (Betty) of Joetown, Daniel Stevens (Donna Wright) of Joetown, Margaret Ann Jarvis (David) of Camp Run, Michael Stevens (Milly Keller) of Camp Run, Alfred Stevens (Theressa) of Grant Town and Fred Stevens of Carolina. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; 5 siblings; and several nieces and nephews.
