As Marshall David departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Marshall David may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Marshall David leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward "Boots" Merritt and Eloise Merritt; and his brothers, Eddie Merritt and Bill Merritt. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Merritt; his sons, Marshall (Cara) of Barboursville, WV and Justin (Malorie) of Man, WV.; his grandchildren, Caleb and Jocelyn Merritt of Barboursville, WV.; and his siblings, Robert Merritt of Accoville, WV and Lillian Atkinson of Fayetteville, WV.. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (205 E McDonald Ave, Man, WV 25635). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
