He was predeceased by: his parents, Golden Adkins and Gloria Adkins (Simpkins); and his sisters, Carolyn Griffen and Jackie Harvey. He is survived by: his wife Cathy Jean Adkins; his children, Amy Bias (Emert), Kenneth Files Jr. and Allen Files; and his siblings, Ricky Adkins, Gary Adkins, Larry Simpkins, Hurston Simpkins, Paul Simpkins, Brian Simpkins, Patricia Baldwin and Rick Goodman. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, family and friends.
