He is survived by: his wife Arzella Jean (Mullins); his sisters, Martha Harmon (Larry) and Brenda Wentz (Jim); his nieces and nephews, Mary Collins (Dennis), Donna Smith (Steve), Crystal Nester Spence and Shirley Sabo (Brian); his grandchildren, Amber Williamson (Michael), Kara Wyatt, Danielle Gallo (Kyle), Michael Clayton (Whitney), Stefani Simmons (John), Scott Smith (Tara), Matt Smith (Rickie Lyn), Andrew Smith, Cody Spence (Chelsea), Samantha Harvey (Cody) and Isabella Spence; his great grandchildren, Katelyn Huffman (Ben), Madison, Emily, Tyler Williamson, Amelia, Francesca Gallo, Everett, Arzella Clayton, Noah Creed, Tenley Paige and Bryer Nash Harvey; and his great great grandchild Ellie Huffman.
Don's contributions to the school were formally recognized when he was inducted into the Man High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 2018.
