He is survived by: his wife Diana Thomas of Washington; his daughters, Priscella Thomas, Shirley Thomas, Shelia Thomas Meningall (Fred) of Columbus, Andrea Thomas, Sherri Thomas Walls (Stephen) and Terri Thomas; his sister Louella Chic Thomas-Williams (Jessie); and his mother-in-law Myrtice Murphy of Washington. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
