She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilbert Mays and Bessie Mays (Walker); her grandson Daniel Burgess; her siblings, Dorothy Mays, Donald Gene, Orville, Mack and Arnold "Duke" Mays; and her nephew Lonnie Eugene Chippent.
She is survived by: her daughter Teresa Burgess (Michael) of Oak Grove, KY; her grandchildren, Michael A. Burgess of Oak Grove, KY and Rebecca Burgess of Oak Grove, KY; her great grandchildren, Jules Burgess of Madison Creek, Kayla Gee Burgess of Oak Grove, KY, Kendra Gee Burgess of Oak Grove, KY, Michael E. D. Burgess of Oak Grove, KY, Rachelle Shepherd of Oak Grove, KY and Olivia Evans of Oak Grove, KY; her great great grandchild Ellie Wilson; her sisters, Mary Mays of Lyburn, Cora Mays of Lyburn and Karen Vance (Kenneth Vance) of Ripley; her caregiver Becky Meade; her nephews, David S. Vernatter of Ripley and David C. Vernatter of Huntington; her niece Thrina D. Ward of Logan; and also Danny "Fleagle" Maynard of Earling. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews; and seven doggie companions; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
