He was predeceased by: his parent Joe Ammons; his wife Martha June Ammons; his sister Jean Weaver; his grandsons, Ira Maust and Danny Ammons; and his daughter-in-law Evelyn Ammons.
He is survived by: his parent Allie Faulkner Ammons; and his children, Gary Ammons (Lisa) of Morgantown, Danny Ammons of Morgantown, Kenny Ammons of Morgantown, James Ammons (Theresa) of Morgantown, Rebecca Maust of Morgantown and Joyce Gibson (Robert) of Morgantown. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
