He was predeceased by: his daughter Kim Lanham; his parents, Woodrow W. Atkins and Jo Ann Perry Atkins; and his brother Larry Wayne Atkins. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Atkins of Chesapeake; his daughters, Angie Atkins White of Chesapeake and Pam Bealmer of Sturgis, KY; and his sisters, Dian Lynn Atkins of Teays Valley and Kimberly Leah Atkins of Teays Valley. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren.
