He was predeceased by: his parents, Ted Gibson and Bonnie Gregg Bennett; and his stepfather Sig Bennett. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Temple Miller Gibson; his children, Crystal Peters of St. Albans, WV and Jeremy Gibson of Dawsonville, GA; his grandsons, Dillon Smith, Drew Gibson and Mike Gibson; and his nephews, Charles 'Chuckie' Gibson (Stephanie) and Tony Gibson (Karrie). He is also survived by several other nieces, nephews, friends, and family.
In lieu of flowers, the family wished any memorial contributions be made to the First Baptist Church of Danville, 10 Park Ave, Danville, WV 25053.
