She was predeceased by: her parents, Ivan Ray and Mary Turner White; and her sisters, Joyce White Mitchem and Doris Workman. She is survived by: her husband John Cowley; her sons, J. D. Sigmon (Pajette) of Uneeda and Eric Sigmon (Stephanie) of Chapmanville, WV; her siblings, Jack Ray White (Carol) of Micanopy, Carol Sue McCrary (Mac), Connie Dent (Pat) and Rebecca Heater (Bob) of Madison, WV; her grandchildren, Trey Sigmon, Megan Sigmon, Jada Sigmon, Erica Sigmon and Peyton Sigmon; and her great grandchildren, Brinlee Sigmon and Ella. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
