He is survived by: his wife Geraldine Adkins Chafin; his children, Michael Kim of West Madison, Ernest Mark of Forest, VA, Randy Joe of Madison, WV and Kathy Smarr of Marietta, GA; his sister Doris Perry of Spring, Texas; his grandchildren, Cristen Jandreau, Jared Chafin, Amber Chafin, Cameron Chafin, Noelle Chafin, Sterling Chafin, Zachary Smarr and Taylor Dean; and his great grandchildren, Macie Spurlock, Carter Jandreau, Jordan Jandreau and Palmer Smarr. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
