She was predeceased by: her husband James Darrell Fairchild; her parents, Clyde Thompson and Ivory Thompson; and her siblings, Jack Thompson, Richard Thompson, Allen Thompson, Jerry Thompson, Michael Thompson, Elizabeth Vickers, Shirley Faye Thompson and Ruth Thompson Scott.
She is survived by: her children, Sherry Arbogast (David) and J. D. Fairchild, II (Deborah); her grandchildren, Jason Arbogast (Jennifer), Joshua Arbogast (Katrina), Jennifer Holzapfel (Jeff), Trey Fairchild (Heather) and Courtney Cook; her great grandchildren, Jacob, Joshua, Julia, Jaqueline, Emory, Brady, Wallace and Charleigh; and her sisters, Margaret Starkey and Pamela Harper. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and the many close friends.
