He is survived by: his wife Christine Swanagin Smith; his children, Jack of Mabscott, WV, Billy Smith, Jr. of Idaho and Veronica Smith of North Carolina; and his siblings, Jack Smith of Florida and Sue Shumaker of Ohio. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
