He was predeceased by: his father Jacob Currence; his wife Rita Berry; and his brothers, Junior, Jimmie, Loren and Caroll Currence.
He is survived by: his children, Sharon Zirkle (Roger) of Mabie, Gary Currence (Jessie) of Mabie, Kathy Currence (late Dana Guire) of Elkins, Mark Currence (Carolyn) of Timberville, VA, Don Currence (Diane) of Coalton and Andy Currence of Mabie; and his siblings, Marvin "Shorty" Currence of Cassity, Clyde Currence of Buckhanon, Macel Tenney of Mill Creek, Eleanor Demotto of Buckhannon, Zella Mae Pastine of Myrtle Beach, SC, Deloris Shank of Bridgewater, VA and Mary Hall of Ruckersville, VA.. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
