He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvary Bud and Helen Louise Johnson (Goodwin); and his siblings, Van Johnson, Hazel Louise Gibson, Connie Lawson and Charlotte Duckett.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Johnson; his children, Don, Jr., Angel Johnson of Big Sandy, Christopher, Kim Johnson of Lundale, Jeremy, Jamie Johnson of Lorado and Cassie Johnson (Scott Coffman) of Charleston; his grandchildren, Ryan, Dannie Girl, Maddie, Jacob, Braylon, Emmy and Colin Scott; and his siblings, Vaughn Johnson (Naomi), Willis Sansom (Diane), Vonda Vance (Johnny), Janice Huffman (Jimmy), Janet Browning (Mike), Diane Johnson, Lavonia Carter and Ellen "Pinky" McKinney (Eddie). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
