It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dayton Walter Ables of Lost Creek, West Virginia, born in Clarksburg, West Virginia, who passed away on January 17, 2024, at the age of 55, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dayton Woodson and Judith Marie Cane Ables; and his siblings, Harley Ables, Michael Ables of Lost and Melissa Ables.
He is survived by: his children, Dayton Ables Jr., Faye Carroll of Lost Creek, Zack Ables of Clarksburg, Joey Fluharty of Elkins and Sheana Greaver of Lost Creek; his siblings, Mary Ables and Andy Gould of Lost Creek; his nephew Andrew; his sisters, Loretta Gould of Buckhannon and Judith McElray of Detroit, MI; and his close friend Laura Cottrill of Lost Creek. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
