He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Scott and Cendrilla "Drill" Cottrell Nichols; and his siblings, Thurman, Burman, Franzo, Forrest, Doy, James Nichols, Vergie Ramsey, Orpha Nichols, Bell Ramsey, Ella May Myers and Mable Houston.
He is survived by: his sister-in-law Mary Nichols of Newton. He is also survived by 33 nieces and nephews.
