He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles W. Elkins and Eunice Workman Elkins; his wife Helen; his nephews, Robbie Collier and Michael David Elkins; and his brothers-in-law, Douglas Butcher and Bobby Collier.
He is survived by: his son C. Chad Hayes-Elkins (Michael) of West Logan; his siblings, Dave Elkins (Judy) of Justice Addition, Terry Elkins (Karan) of Chapmanville, Linda Collier of Chapmanville and Mary Butcher of Chapmanville; his stepson Bobby Ray Bridges (Jackie); his stepgrandsons, Jordan Bridges (Sidnie Rorrer) and Caleb Bridges (Ashleigh); his stepdaughter Holly Miller; his stepgrandchild Stevie Miller (Liza Honaker); his close friend Dottie Hall; and his caregiver Helen Farmer. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, friends.
