He is survived by: his children, Joann Marie Simms and Dustin Lee Simms; his sisters, Belinda Lawrence and Rose Gibson; and his nieces and nephews, Richard Lawrence, Derrick Gibson, Ronnie Marcum III, Kevin Lawrence, Teara Marcum and Natasha Morgan. He is also survived by 16 great nephews and nieces.
