He was predeceased by: his parents, Calahan Maynard and Gwendolyn Maynard; his former wife Joyce Ann Maynard; and his children, John Floyd Maynard and Dorthea Louise Maynard.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane Maynard; his son Robert E. Maynard II (Angela) of Parkersburg, WV; his stepchildren, Natalie Browning (Shawn) of Rockwell, NC and J. R. Blevins (Lauren) of Streetsboro, OH.; his grandson Elijah John Maynard; and his stepgrandchildren, Xavier, Nash Browning and Isabella Blevins. He is also survived by eight siblings.
