He was predeceased by: his parents, William Sexton and Mary Sexton; his wife Leona Sexton; his siblings, Elmo Sexton, John Sexton, Tommy Sexton, Otis Sexton, Elwood Sexton, Dana Parvis and Lucille Browning; and his daughter Bonnie Gibson.
He is survived by: his sons, Paul David Sexton of Mt. Gay, WV and Rickey Sexton (Mary) of Mt. Gay, WV; his adoptive daughter Stacy Sexton of Mt. Gay, WV; and his son-in-law Donald Gibson of Mt. Gay, WV. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
