She was predeceased by: her parents, Temyer Evans and Leitha Ann Evans; her son Michael Anthony Evans; her siblings, Mae Della Franklin (SE), Rosa B. Witsell (Nat), Bertha Tyler (Roland), Andrew Evans, Willie Olds (Marsha) and Eddie Evans; her nephew Roland "Vincent" Tyler; and her grandson Brendan Evans.
She is survived by: her children, Paula Hamlet of Bowie, MD, Paul Evans (Elaine) of Logan, WV, Christine Evans of Logan, WV and Squire Lee Evans (Pamela) of Wilkesboro, NC; her grandchildren, Bryn, Tamisha, Anthony, Derrick, Brooke, Conchete, Eshukii, Shawnica, Tyrone, Yazmine, Mariesha and Emanuel; and her siblings, Johnnie Mae Thompson (Frank) and Evonne (Gerald). She is also survived by many great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Akers-James Funeral Home (832 Old Logan Rd, Logan, WV 25601). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
