She was predeceased by: her parents, Manuel Hensley and Neary Bell Hensley (Vance); her stepparent Lissie Mable Hensley (Lambert); her husband Charles Vera Hamb; her siblings, Leon, Freelin, John B., Harmon Hensley and Thelma Sue Strunk (Hensley); and her stepbrothers, Eugene, Odell and Earnest Lambert.
She is survived by: her children, Carolyn Texie Hamb of Logan, Tonya C. Varney of Ripley and Clyde Varney (Randy) of Logan; her sisters, Alma L. Hensley and Kathleen Varney of Logan; her grandchildren, Tyeka La'ta Johnson (Aaliyah) and Da'mon James Hamb; and her friend Donnell Hogan of Richmond, VA.
