With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Leslie Evans of Logan, West Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 13, 2025 at the age of 83. He was predeceased by: his mother Dixie Evans Mayhorn; his grandparents, Hugh and Evelyn Evans; his siblings, Audrey (Lee Bragg), Tivis Farley and Johnny McCloud; his children, Samantha, Belinda Browning and Sambo Browning; his grandchildren, Blake Meade and Brittany Evans; his siblings-in-law, Marie Mayhorn, Belvia (Donald Blankenship), Betty Carter, Brenda Gardner, Billy George and Hobert (Lois Day); and his mother-in-law Easter Day.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Evans; his children, Tracy Presler (Karl), Keith Evans of Columbus, OH, Steven Evans (Stephanie) of Columbus, OH and Dennis Evans (Lisa) of Virginia; his brothers, Wandell Mayhorn (Peggy) of Whitman and Darrell Mayhorn of Crooked Creek; his siblings-in-law, Nancy Farley, Kim McCloud, Donetta Allen (Roosevelt), Clyde Akers (Kay) and Bill Carter; and his close friend Jasper. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Honaker Funeral Home (200 Main St, Logan, WV 25601). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
